Studies show that women are less likely than men to negotiate, particularly when it comes to salary, and this may account for at least a portion of the much-reported wage gap. This webinar will provide women with tips and suggestions on how and when to negotiate. It will include the steps you need to take and the strategies you should employ to improve the odds that the compensation package you accept will be a fair and equitable one for both parties.

Patricia Rose is Director of Career Services at the University of Pennsylvania. In that capacity she oversees career advising and programming, graduate/professional school advising, employer outreach and recruiting for all Penn undergraduates and graduate students in nine schools. Pat Rose speaks frequently to students, alumni and business groups on career management topics and employment trends. She serves on the School Committee (board of trustees) of Germantown Friends School, and in her spare time, she roots (sometimes futilely) for the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
