About Our Speaker:

Carter Cast is a professor at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, where he’s received the Faculty Impact Award for six years running by his students. When not teaching, he is a venture partner at Pritzker Group Venture Capital, which invests in early stage technology companies.

Carter’s writings have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Forbes and has also been a guest on shows such as Bloomberg, CNN, CNBC, and Fox. Cast also sits on the board of Kellogg Company (NYSE: K), SMS Assist, Inc. and the Family Action Network. Prior to his academic and venture-capital career, Cast was the chief executive officer at, the founding chief marketing officer of Blue Nile, Inc., and a marketing manager at PepsiCo’s Frito Lay division, where he derailed and later recovered.
